Marketing & Communications Manager
The CYCA is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to be responsible for all marketing and communications activities to both internal and external stakeholders including members, sponsors and the media.
This varied role will develop and implement the annual marketing and communications plan to include writing, social media, website and media management and Club/member promotions. The role also assists the Media Director during the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
The objective is to undertake brand management, member engagement, event/program attendance and sponsorship management whilst maximising publicity, media coverage and profile for the CYCA.
To be successful in this role you will hold suitable tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or similar, with a minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in a dedicated marketing role ideally from within the sporting industry. You will have proven experience in dealing with the media and developing relationships and hands-on expertise in digital/social media with the ability write content for several audiences.
You will be self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines in a fast paced work environment. The ability to work independently, as well working collaboratively within the wider team structure is imperative, as is the capacity to build relationships and elicit co-operation from a diverse group of stakeholders.
A strong affiliation with and understanding of sport business, or the sport of sailing would be an advantage.
The position necessitates flexible working hours spread over Monday-Sunday dependent upon Club activities.

- Boating operations
What will you need to be?
- Dedicated, and committed with a great personality displaying customer service skills
- Good work ethic
- Ability to commit to mid-week and weekend work.
- Willing to commit to study as part of the traineeship
- You must meet eligibility requirements to be appointed as a trainee

The traineeship is managed and implemented by Safety Corp, a Registered Training Organisation, No. 91694. Safety Corp has been appointed by the national marina body the Marina Industries Association to develop and deliver this new and ground breaking course for 2017.
You will be part of the first group of trainees to enter and progress through this exciting new course.
Safety Corp will be managing initial applications for traineeships for CYCA and several other Marinas throughout Sydney and NSW.

The CYCA is seeking experienced bar attendants to assist in its bar areas.
Applicants must possess RSA certificate and at least 1- 2 years experience. Valid student visas welcome.
Excellent working conditions are part of the benefits. Successful applicants will receive wages and allowances in line with the Registered & Licensed Club Award rates for casual employees. Roster will include evening and weekend work.
