LDV Comanche secures line honours and the race record

Sport is often determined by fine margins and yachting is no exception. After a phenomenal contest between Jim Cooney’s LDV Comanche and the Oatley family’s Wild Oats XI over the full 628nm of the Rolex Sydney Hobart concluded yesterday in the Derwent River, the line honours title for first to finish was eventually decided today in the protest room. An incident between the two 100-footers, shortly after the start, was adjudged in favour of LDV Comanche.

Black Jack makes the most of cards dealt

Black Jack, the light weather flyer of the four 100 foot super maxis racing for line honours in the 2017 Rolex Sydney Hobart took full advantage of the light, easterly conditions on Sydney Harbour this afternoon to lead her contemporaries out of the Heads.

SOLAS Big Boat Challenge Spectator Vessel

The team from Coast Cruises will once again run a spectator vessel for the SOLAS Big Boat Challenge, Tuesday 10 December. Tickets are $65.00 each or $50.00 for CYCA members and ticket price includes a welcome glass of sparkling and a snack on board. BOOK TODAY

COAST will again be front and centre on the race course for one of the great days on Sydney Harbour, the SOLAS BIG BOAT CHALLENGE. This is a day not to be missed, no exclusion zone racing means up close and action packed viewing. COAST welcomes back all our regular sailing aficionados, sailing friends and family of the race competitors.

This is the Classic Sydney yacht race day, a one of a kind international event on our harbour. The race to see who's who before the big one, the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
