"Now hooning along in the second eddy with at least a knot favourable. Waiting to crack our new kite. And a celebratory consultation in a couple of hours at half way."

Sorry no satphone - too lumpy and wet to set it all up.

Lousy start - lost a genoa sheet and going the wrong way at the gun. Went wide for the current after South Head and scored 2 knots for a day or so south of Point Perpendicular then parked for 12 hours off Merimbula and drifted back up the course towards the bar at CYCA.

The only hole on the entire east coast but looked worth the gamble. Seems we lost!

No fun in the lumpy stuff - lots of 15 metre waves and even the not so mighty Berri was slamming. Number 1 and full main most of the way - short period in the really big stuff slowed down with two reefs and the number 3.

Now hooning along in the second eddy with at least a knot favourable. Waiting to crack our new kite. And a celebratory consultation in a couple of hours at half way.

It's a slow way to travel....
