Ocean Pointscore

Ocean Pointscore

The Ocean Pointscore series will commence on 22 September 2012. The series consists of 9 races including the Lion Island and Port Hacking races.  The longest race in the Ocean Pointscore is the Newcastle Race.  Competitors can compete in IRC, PHS and ORCi Divisions within the Ocean Pointscore series.

This series is perfect for the yachtsperson who wants to do various ocean races without the pressure of having to compete in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

Boats competing in the Blue Water Pointscore will find that several races in the Ocean Pointscore clash with BWPS races, and boats competing in Division 2 or 3 of the Short Ocean Poinstcore will also find a clash.

In 2012-2013, a Spring Pointscore and an Autumn Pointscore will conducted within the Ocean Pointscore.  The Spring Pointscore will comprise all races held prior to Christmas (5 races).  The Autumn Pointscore will comprise all races held after Christmas (4 races).

ENTRY DEADLINE

Please ensure you submit your entry form to the Sailing Office no later than 1200 hours on the Thursday prior to the race (except Newcastle Race - Wednesday 1200).  Please note to be eligible for the pointscore you must enter by race 3.
