Ocean Pointscore

Ocean Pointscore

The Ocean Pointscore will commence on 8 October 2016. The series consists of 8 races (7 to count) including two trips to each of Lion Island, Botany Bay and Port Hacking races, Day One of the MHYC SSORC, and the longest race in the Ocean Pointscore, being the Sydney Newcastle Race.

This series is perfect for the yachtsperson who wants to do various ocean races without the pressure of having to compete in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.  A Spring Pointscore and an Autumn Pointscore will conducted within the Ocean Pointscore.  The Spring Pointscore will comprise all races held prior to Christmas (4 races with the best 3 to count).  The Autumn Pointscore will comprise all races held after Christmas (4 races with the best 3 to count).

Competitors competing in the Ocean Pointscore require a Special Regulations Audit of Category 4. Competitors entered in the Sydney Newcastle Race require Category 3.
